Hey friends!

This past week we discovered another fun little gem in the Dallas area…The River Ranch Texas Horse Park!

You all know I’m always looking for ways and reasons to explore somewhere new, especially if it involves being outside! I had never been to the Audubon before, but it’s on every list I’ve seen about enjoying the outdoors in Dallas. You guys… Utah ruined me. Out of all the exploring I’ve done here in Dallas, there’s probably been ONE place I feel right describing as a “hike.” The Audubon was not that one place.

I’m looking for beauty in what Dallas does has to offer though. I like that there are state parks and nature preserves everywhere here! These nature preserves are nothing hardcore or National Geographic worthy if I’m being honest, but, I appreciate them. I like that they are convenient and easy to bring kids to. I like that there are no bears or cougars lurking in these preserves. I like that they are well maintained, and safe. and I like that you can experience so much lush greenery at these preserves.

Hi, I’m Madi, and I’m glad you’re here!

I grew up in Salt Lake City and fell in love with the mountains! After college, I filled my free time with hiking, camping, and exploring Utah! When I became a mom, I loved taking my baby on outdoor adventures with me!

Soon after becoming a mom, we moved to Dallas, Texas, where there are no mountains! While living in Dallas we welcomed two more children into our family! I’m now a mom of three boys. After six years of living in Dallas, we are back in Utah!

Living in Dallas taught me to embrace the city life! I’ve learned that there is so much fun and adventure to be found everywhere, whether you’re in the mountains, the city, or somewhere in between!

I’m all about family adventures, big and small, and I share the details of our adventures here on this blog in hopes to inspire and prepare you for adventures as well!
