Last weekend was probably our most random adventure to date! We drove an hour north to a town I’d never heard of to do something we’d never done. We went shark tooth hunting in Sherman, Texas! Did you know that was a thing? Two weeks ago, I didn’t either. Keep reading to get more details, and to learn why I do recommend this adventure in cooler months, but do not recommend this in hot weather. Plano Staycation at the Hampton Inn and Suites
What vacations did you have planned for 2020? Or is the wound still open and did I just pour salt in it? My family had three vacations planned for this summer that we ended up cancelling. There are worse problems in the world, but it was still a bummer. I love going new places and doing new things! I’m sad we didn’t get to visit Mexico in June like we had planned, or scratch a new state off our USA travel map in July like we had planned, or hike the mountains in Utah in August like I love to do. Despite these setbacks, I am ALL ABOUT making the most of whatever your situation is, wherever you are! I started this blog and my Instagram account because I love proving that you can find adventure and make memories ANYWHERE!
Giant Bubbles
Like a lot of you, I love being outside! I love hiking and camping and being far from a city. I also love swimming pools, parks, sports and splash pads! I really don’t discriminate when it comes to outdoor play! Plus, if I can get my boys to burn some energy outside, that’s a huge mom win! When my boys play outside, not only do they get their exercise and their vitamin D, but they also seem to be much more well-behaved when they do finally need to come inside. This is opposed to the days when we stay cooped up and everyone starts acting rambunctious and irritable and stir crazy. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love sharing fun places to go and fun things to do outside! Well guess what! I found another way to have a BLAST while getting fresh air.
