This past week we discovered another fun little gem in the Dallas area…The River Ranch Texas Horse Park!
Trinity River Audubon
You all know I’m always looking for ways and reasons to explore somewhere new, especially if it involves being outside! I had never been to the Audubon before, but it’s on every list I’ve seen about enjoying the outdoors in Dallas. You guys… Utah ruined me. Out of all the exploring I’ve done here in Dallas, there’s probably been ONE place I feel right describing as a “hike.” The Audubon was not that one place.
I’m looking for beauty in what Dallas does has to offer though. I like that there are state parks and nature preserves everywhere here! These nature preserves are nothing hardcore or National Geographic worthy if I’m being honest, but, I appreciate them. I like that they are convenient and easy to bring kids to. I like that there are no bears or cougars lurking in these preserves. I like that they are well maintained, and safe. and I like that you can experience so much lush greenery at these preserves.

Dear Owen, It’s finally here, your last night as our only child. Although I am more than excited to welcome your younger brother into this world and start new adventures, I’m a little heartbroken to be closing this chapter of our lives. The chapter where you and I took on a new city, new friends, and a new lifestyle together.
